The entry of chips into the tool taper can be particularly prominent during high-speed cutting of aluminium parts. The \u201cTrue run-out amount\u201d is calculated using an on-board algorithm. Any abnormal run-out on that tool at the tool change will be detected automatically, and this information is fed back to the machine control. Now the status of each tool can be monitored remotely.<\/p>\n<p>An all new colour display unit compliments the RD-10, giving clear and real-time information on tool status to the operator at the machining centre.<\/p>\n<p>The RD-10 is backwards compatible with the previous model, using the same I\/O interface to the machine control.
